Zoey's Story...
"Who's super fun, friendly, and cute as a button? It's me, ZOEY. I'm a one-and-a-half-year-old Long-Haired Chihuahua mix gal who's ready to be your devoted companion. I'm alert and intelligent, so I'm ready to learn all kinds of skills. I'd be a loving and lively family pet, and I get along nicely with other dogs. I love to play, especially with other playful dogs. I enjoy going on walks and hanging out with nice people, so perhaps we could go places together, like the dog park. I've already been house trained, so I'm ready to move in with you. Hey, did you see my beautiful brindle-colored coat and my amber-hued eyes? I'm even more striking in person, so you'll have to come check me out here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I'd love to spend some time getting to know you out in the great play yard that they have here, so please come on over as soon as possible. I'm ready to move out of my kennel and into a cozy home where I'll be cherished forever. Please visit me soon! Love, Zoey"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
