Jamie's Story...
Jamie and her sister are only around nine months old and yet they found themselves both in a high kill shelter in NC. It was not fault of their own, it was a case of a family displaced and unable to bring their dogs. Left abandoned, they were both taken in by animal control. With no interest and hold time being up, they were both rescued by us and taken to our vet.

Both girls were medically reviewed, spayed, brought current on all vaccines, microchipped and are not ready for a home. They are shy but willing, not any signs of aggression, sweet and happy for human attention. They are fine around other dogs and young enough to consider a feline sibling with proper introductions and care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jamie, a Mount Holly Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mount Holly, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mount Holly.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Holly already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Holly breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Holly paves the way for another one to be saved.
