Hi! My name is Goofy and I’m a male Havanese mix. I’m about 4 years old and full of energy. I weigh about 12 lbs.
I’m known as Mr. Friendly among the volunteers. I am always happy to see my humans! I love to be held and have back rubs and belly rubs.
I also love to play with my foster brothers and sisters. It’s fun to have lots of playmates at the foster place, but I am ready to meet a family that I can call my own. In fact, I have been waiting since the hot summer of 2014! I consider myself a pretty easy going guy but waiting this long tires me out.
I haven’t been around cats or small kids so I’m not sure how I would act. I think I would like older children around 10.

Goofy is currently fostered in Korea. We plan on bringing him to Northern Virginia in late December upon finding a forever home for her.
Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
A home check is mandatory before adoption.
