A - SISSY's Story...
Hello, my name is Sissy. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you!

I am a black and white Lab/Beagle mix. (Yes, that’s what we think.) I am 17 months old and I weigh 45 lbs. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed.

Wanna hear more about me? OK, here goes! I am a very sweet, well-behaved girl. I know a hand command for “sit” without having to be told. I really am very smart! I am kennel-trained and love snuggling up in fleece blankets. My favorite game is chase the ball and I will bring it back to you. I also love playing with rubber squeaky toys.

I am not afraid of a bath and like my hair being brushed. I have a white marking on my chest that looks like the batman symbol.

I am protective of my family so visitors will need to be introduced to me first. I make unique sounds when I talk back to you, and when I am nervous, I make a high-pitched cricket noise. HA! It’s funny sounding!

I live in a house with my brother but I am the boss so I might be better in a house where I am the only dog. I also live with lots of cats. I want to play with them and their toys but they don't want to play back. I like to stop, drop and roll - - my favorite thing to do is get a belly rub and get scratched under the chin.

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email mpringle001@comcast.net and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - SISSY, a Boston Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
