Minnie Me's Story...
My name is Minnie Me, but you can call me Minnie. I'm 8-yrs-old, and have a beautiful dark tabby pattern on my shorthaired coat. I know lots of people come to HSKC looking for a kitten, and that's ok; but please take time when you go past MY cubicle. I used to be a kitten, too, and was adopted by my previous owner at that time. But then it was my owner's time to go to Heaven, and I found myself here. I miss living in a house where there are windows with sunshine, and a warm lap to curl into. So, stop and look at me when you're browsing. I'm past the hyper kitten stage, but in the meantime I've learned how to behave well in the house; and I still have LOTS of energy and love to share! So, if you're not absolutely SET on a kitten, maybe you'd consider taking ME home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie Me, a Walker Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walker, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walker paves the way for another one to be saved.
