Hi, my name is Murphy! I love stuffed toys with squeakies, like to eat (not too surprising for a beagle, right?!), take long walks, sniff everything and hang out with you! I am an easy-going boy, just wishing and hoping for a forever family with a fenced yard this year! I feel a little overlooked (I know I’m not the standard tri-color beagle…but I’m told by all that meet me that I’m a good looking beagle boy with pretty eyes! I love bellyrubs, by the way! Well, I’m off to patrol the backyard…I just heard some activity out there! I’ll let my foster parents tell you more about me.

Murphy is the sweetest 15” copper nose style beagle mix (only 35 lbs), housebroken, medium energy and just a really well-behaved beagle. He lets us use the dremmel (nail file) on his nails and just lays there calmly for me (this is not that common!!). Murphy has had some obedience training; he knows the basic commands (sit, come, down, etc.). He is back to using his crate as his den, and will go lay in there for a nap, etc. He obeys babygates, will cuddle, but prefers to sleep on his dog bed at night (and will wait for an invitation to sit by you on the couch). Murphy has this cute way of sitting with his head on your lap, nudging for some attention! Murphy would be best in a beagle-experienced home without young children.
