Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kody is an energetic, sweet bearded fellow! He loves to run and play with his foster brother (a puggle) and a foster sister (a cat). He loves chew toys, and always brings his favorite up onto our laps to sit and chew. He is shy with new dogs at first, but is starting to gain more confidence. When his foster parents are gone, Kody has full run of 1 room of the house, with lots of windows, toys, water and his crate. At night he sleeps in a crate next to his foster parents bed. He knows it is bed time when the lights turn off, and sleeps throughout the night.
Kody currently knows how to sit on command, and has also learned to bring his empty bowl to us when he is hungry (thanks to our puggle!). He is still working on potty training and getting the hang of it! He loves to be around people, and would love to go on new adventures with a family of his own!
Kody is estimated to be about 6.5 months old and 21 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday January 7, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
