Lowder has to be seen in person to really be appreciated! He has such an unusual appearance, apparently a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and Basset Hound. He has a huge head, with big round eyes, making him look surprised at all times. But his muscular stocky body with turned out feet are clearly Basset Hound. He's built pretty much like a tank! He has quickly won all our hearts at the Adoption Center because of his silly sweetness and goofball attitude. We estimate his age to be about two years. He'll be a delightful family companion dog. Please submit the application online at www.sargeanimals.org if you'd like to set up a meeting with this extraordinary boy.

About Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to save healthy adoptable animals in the Haywood County Animal Control facility from euthanasia. We take highly adoptable dogs and cats from the shelter and foster them in private homes until an adoptive family can be found. Our goal is a center where adoptable dogs and cats will receive loving care until they can be adopted to permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes, and the contact information is listed with the pet's description. Adoption day events will be publicized on our website, www.sargeandfriends.org, as they are scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a fostered pet, you will have to complete an application, have an interview and home visit, and pay an adoption fee. All foster animals are spayed or neutered, are on flea preventative, and all shots current. Dogs are tested for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative, cats are tested for feline leukemia. The adoption fee for cats is $50 and for dogs it's $100
