My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hellooo everyone out there in cyberspace! My name is Moji and I am a beautiful, young, male, cockatiel looking for a forever home.

When I was a baby, I broke my leg and it didn’t heal exactly right, and I hurt my wing while trying to balance on my bad leg, so I have some tender places, but I still can perch on your finger and enjoy a good head scritch.

I mumble most of the time, but my foster mom has heard me say what sounds like words! She is trying to teaching me all kinds of new stuff.

I am on a fairly healthy diet of Harrison's Pellets and Feed Your Flock Pellets. Those are really good! I do not love fresh veggies yet but my foster mom keeps putting them in a bowl for me. You know how we Cockatiels are, we won't eat anything that we don't recognize as food so, some day, when I understand they are food and are yummy, I will probably try them. I was skinny when I came to Florida Parrot Rescue, but I am making up for lost time. Just wait and see how I grow stronger!

I have no experience with children or pets other than being one of many birds. I don’t bite, I’m just a little shy. I know with patience and love, I could be coaxed out of my shell (haha, see? I have a sense of humor too) and become a loving companion, eager to socialize and be with my forever family. Could that forever family be yours? Come meet me and let's find out! I would be grateful if you'd be willing to buy me some things from my Amazon wishlist. Here is the link:

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope to meet you soon! Love, Moji
