My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there,
I’m Zola, a three year old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a gorgeous silver-gray colored brindle coat. My life changed drastically once some kind rescue ladies saved me from the cruel streets from Houston. I always knew there must be more to life than being lonely, hungry and thirsty all the time, being chased away and trying not to get hit by a car. When I was rescued, I had a badly injured leg that couldn’t be saved and needed to be amputated. No worries though, it doesn’t slow me down one bit!

Here is what my foster mom has to say about me: ‘She has perfect house manners -- we don't need to crate her at all, no accidents and no chewing on anything. She is playful but fairly chill, not hyper. She sleeps through the night, loves to cuddle at all times. Is good with kids and new people/new dogs. Did great at her first dog park outing, and has met lots of new people and kids at the flower shop. She's friendly towards all. Good in the car. Not super food motivated. She's incredibly fast and agile -- she was jumping in and out of the pond at the park with no problem, can jump up and down from the couch just as easily. She's so happy that her tail wags constantly and with such force you can hear it thumping. She has a beautiful brindle coat with a black muzzle which is hard to do justice to in photos. She snores like a freight train, barks when our other dogs start barking but is otherwise quiet. And this is our second tripod to foster. Our first, Khaleesi, took a while to build up her stamina without that fourth leg. Zola, by contrast, has really surprised us -- she can go as far and long as our quadrapets without fatiguing so she would be a great companion for an active owner. Although she would also be a great companion for someone looking for a small hippo for a lap dog.’

Now if that wasn’t a glowing review then I don’t know what is. I even tolerate some cats but most cats just don’t seem to want to roughhouse with me as I would like to. Let’s sum up all my attributes again: I’m young and healthy, gorgeous, smart, well behaved, get along with everybody and I make an excellent cuddle buddy. Now, the only thing that is missing to make my life complete is you.
