My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful Australian cattle dog/red heeler is approx 10 years old, and 27 lbs.. She has limited vision as one eye is completely blind and the other gives her some peripheral vision. The eye vet thinks she had been struck about the eyes and she is currently on eye drops daily to help her. This does not slow her down and she manages to get around really well. This is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She loves everyone, her tail never stops wagging, she loves to ride in the car, seems to be very well leash and house trained and has the softest coat. Her coloring is just beautiful. She is a very perky dog and just a delight. She did test positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of injections and she has also been started on a monthly heartworm preventative.. She is going to make someone a great companion that can offer their home to a gorgeous senior.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
