Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Change Their Luck Adoption Promotion –

The adoption fee for all cats ages two and older (any color) and cats that are primarily black (any age) is currently only $17! Black, adult, and senior cats are traditionally the least likely cats to be adopted. Many of them experience lengthy stays in foster care before finding their forever home. Adult cats are often overlooked in favor of kittens. However, they have just as much love to give. We’d love to CHANGE THEIR LUCK this March!

This promotion applies to all primarily black (any age) and adult or senior cats (any color) adopted in March 2017 and to any adoption applications received for these fosters through March 31, 2017. Not only can you change their luck – you can change their life!

Ophelia was found on the street very pregnant and walking with a limp. X-rays revealed she had a break in her hip and had been shot with a BB gun. They also showed she would soon give birth to 6 kittens. Fortunately the hip injury was one that would heal, and Ophelia was able to have her kittens - which she did exactly 1 week later! In fact, she gave birth to a Shakespeare litter!: Cressida, Iago, Juliet, Paris, Titus, and Troilus.

Ophelia is an adult but still young as she is very playful - she has been playing chase with one of the cats in her foster home and enjoys interactive play. She is petite and a very sweet girl. She has been in the room with the dogs in her foster home and seems okay with them (the dogs pretty much ignore her). She seems okay with other cats.

We recommend that Ophelia go to a lower stress home. With all the stress of her injury and nursing kittens, she developed bladder inflammation which the vet believes was stress-induced. She is back to normal now but a low stress home would help to prevent this issue.

This kitty has had her initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and been micro-chipped and altered (or will be micro-chipped and altered prior to adoption).

Adoption fee is 1/2 off for the second kitty adopted at same time. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax).

If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / ADOPT tab / CAT Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.

Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent!
