Luna's Story...
Luna is a flame point female who was born in a PAWS foster home in August. She is not a solid white kitten and her orange highlights continue to become more apparent as she ages. She has been raised with a dog, other cats and children.

All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).

A few of our cats are available to meet in our Adoption Center at PetSmart on NW Expressway and Rockwell in OKC. Please check our website at pawsok.com and go to the ADOPT tab to see their pictures.

The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. To get one you can:
1. Download one from our website at www.pawsok.com,
2. Request one via e-mail at: pawsokrescue@gmail.com, or
3. Pick one up at PetSmart.

Thanks for adopting a rescued cat - they make the best pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
