Robbie's Story...
Adoption Pending. ROBBIE is a handsome Black Lab mix male puppy who was found along with his siblings in a rural area in NW TN. A truck driver spotted the puppies and called his wife who then contacted the rescue. A rescue volunteer was able to round up the puppies and get them to safety. Robbie is a sweet, playful pup who gets along with the other dogs at his foster home. He has also been with children aged 9 and above and has done well with them. He greets new people with tail wagging and typical puppy friendliness. He is 8 months old and weighs 37 pounds but will gain more weight. We expect he will be a medium to large dog once full grown. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm and is being maintained on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Robbie if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robbie, a Union City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
