My story

"My name is COMET, and I'm an easy-going five-year-old Shepherd/ Greyhound mix. While I sit calmly in my kennel, I'd still want to have sufficient exercise at my new home. I'd be a great hiking buddy, as well as an overall good companion. I'm obedient and respectful, plus I know how to sit on command. A smart fellow like me is eager to learn even more commands, especially if there are tasty treats involved. I have warm, loving eyes, and a kind soul, and I know I can be your good buddy. I'm both kid-friendly and dog-friendly, so I'd be a wonderful family pet. The staff is fairly certain that I've already been house trained, but I might need a refresher when I get to my new home (please praise me when you see me doing my "business" outside). I'd love to have a yard at my new home, along with a comfy dog bed inside the house so I can spend time with you. Won't you please come visit me? They've got a great play yard here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter where we can get to know each other. I hope you'll come visit me soon! Love, Comet"
