Hello friends! I am Conway, a 3-yr old tri Border Collie. My foster parents adore me – they say I’m the absolute best and I’d like to tell you a little bit about me to see if you would love me as much as they do! Firstly, I’m super duper smart. Most of us Border Collies are, but I’m especially good at being intuitive with what my foster parents want me to do. I read their body language a lot and I’m always checking in with them to see what they might ask me about. I REALLLLLY want to make them happy, so I learn things very quickly and always do what they ask on the first try. As far as commands go, I know sit, down, come, go to mat, “where’s your Frisbee” (my favourite!), out, wait, leave it and bunch of other ones! Secondly, I’m very athletic! My favourite sport is Frisbee – I absolutely love catching that thing in mid-air. Now, my foster mom is not the best at consistently throwing it (her words, not mine!), but I will always get it, no matter where she throws it and bring it back to her. She also takes me for runs, which I love. She says I’m one of the best running dogs she’s had because I don’t get distracted by anything and my focus is on her and running! Thirdly, I’m awesome with people and dogs. I love playing “chase” with my foster siblings. My favourite thing to do is all out zoomies around the yard with one or more of them chasing me – it’s the best! I’m very very fast and they usually can’t catch me, so sometimes I slow down or stop so they can! Finally, I get very attached to my human(s). I LOVE being hugged and I really enjoy sitting on their laps and generally being close to them. I would love a home with a good Frisbee thrower, or runner, and a fenced in yard. I get along with other dogs, but I’d also be fine with just a human as long as they spent a lot of time with me! I don’t like kids very much, so I would prefer not to go to a home with younger children. Mostly, I just want someone to hang out with forever! From Conway’s Foster Mom: Ideal home for Conway would include the following: - Energetic, active home with lots of play time and exercise - Fenced in backyard - Experience with Border Collies (Conway has a form of Canine Compulsive Disorder, where he chases shadows obsessively. He is currently on Prozac to try to give his mind a bit of a break, combined with ample exercise and training.). His future home must be able to continue to provide that training and support for him. - No young children or cats - Infinite cuddles - No very pushy or dominant dogs Please visit the website at www.prbcr.org
