Hi....my name is.....I am....Marvel. I....I apoligize for being a little shy. I have never..and I mean never done something like this. I am around 9 months old and believed to be a Pyr/Border Collie or maybe a Pyr/Newfie mix. Either way I am drop dead gorgeous.
Prior to coming into rescue I was a full time outside dog. I could roam where I pleased and in the end it cost me. Somewhere along the line some very mean people either shot at me or threw things at me because I became skittish of people. When my owners surrendered me to PPFT and I met my fosters I was shaking. I was sad to see the people I had known most of my life go but I knew they had my best interests at heart. So, I met a new dog named Asia who had also just came into rescue and we were off to a new start at life. When we got home I was scared to come into the house but once I was inside and realized no one was going to hurt me I picked out a spot by a huge window in the dining room. I love lounging around there and have already got the skill of going in and out of the house mastered. I LOVE other dogs and with their help am slowly coming out of my shell. In fact, I was already playing with them today! I have met the cats and am fine with them, while I am still nervous around people you can see in my eyes just how sweet I am. I already start wagging my tail when you talk to me or call me. While I sometimes still run when you come up to me, if I am lying down and come to me I lavish in the attention even though I still hold my head down....
I am getting better each day and I know soon I will be a huge lovebug but until then I will need a family who is willing to show me that I am now safe..that no one is ever going to hurt me again.
My adoption fee is $200 which covers all vetting, spay, micro-chipping, negative for heartworms, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prev. I know I may not be the pyrfect dog..yet but I promise if you give me a chance..a chance to shine like every dog should I will be the most loyal amazing dog ever.
