Willow's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Willow's Story...
This little Peke is also looking for her forever home. Willow was rescued from the Franklin County Dog Shelter. She's fairly young-maybe 5-6 years old best guess. She had a UTI which is being treated. Has a bursa on her left shoulder which is fine as is-merely a cosmetic thing. Does have four bladder stones, which for now, we are treating conservatively with Royal Canin Urinary SO, dry and canned...this food has properties that break down the stones. So, if we can avoid putting her through surgery, we're going to try. Will be about 6 months or more, before we can determine whether this is effective. This is a fairly involved and expensive surgery.
Willow is spayed, current on all vaccines, 75% house broken, pretty much dog friendly as long as they are calm and live and let live type dogs-no rowdy, in your face dogs for her. Crate trained but she lets you know she doesn't approve. Love car rides, very affectionate, sweet and cute as can be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Chillicothe Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Chillicothe, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Chillicothe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chillicothe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chillicothe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chillicothe paves the way for another one to be saved.
