Mattie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Mattie's Story...
Mattie has come a long way from her old life on a short chain to the beautiful, playful dog she is today. We are sad to know that her life was not fulfilling prior to coming to our rescue, but we are happy to be improving her life every day from now on. Mattie is about 5-7 years old, she housetrained (she even uses a bell), she is kennel trained, and she is spayed and vaccinated. Mattie is heartworm positive at this time and is undergoing an easy treatment so she can continue to play and live a normal life during treatment. Mattie is good with other dogs and is very curious of cats and she likes to chase them. Mattie's ideal home is a typical family, if kids are in the home she would prefer kids who are old enough to respect her fears of unknown things (like bouncing large balls in the house) and go to another room. Mattie is playful, yet loves to lay on the floor while you watch tv, she's the best of both worlds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Goldsboro German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Goldsboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Goldsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goldsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goldsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goldsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
