Malcolm's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Malcolm's Story...
Malcolm is a strapping young dog. He is only 14 months old. He is housetrained, lived with children and cats, and seems to be friendly with dogs. He is a very sweet dog that loves to be petted. He walks well on a leash and is generally a gentle giant dog that would fit smoothly into any household.

You can visit me during open hours, which are Monday through Friday 9am-3pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm or email to make an appointment for another time. Please see our website at www.palspets.net for adoption fees and other information!

The PALS shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malcolm, a Grinnell Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Grinnell, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Grinnell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grinnell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grinnell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grinnell paves the way for another one to be saved.
