I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Snow is the pup you want to have around! Snow, at just about 8 years old (such a great age..old enough to have left babyish ways behind and young enough to have many, many active years ahead) and 11 lbs, is initially a bit hesitant...then the most bonded and loving girl around. Snow enjoys her time with her foster mom so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! Snow loves people who are kind to her more than anything..she's a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with gentle, dog-loving people. Snow also enjoys other dogs and cats...she's just great with all beings. Snow is a kind and gentle being.
This incredibly adorable girl exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Snow's life to this point has been challenging but has left no visible scars on the personality of this devoted and sweet pup. Snow's foster mom had the following to say about this great dog:

Snow's story is heartbreaking...she was originally turned into a shelter due to her owner moving. She was then adopted out and returned... then adopted out again in early november to the latest owner that surrendered her recently due to health issues within the sad for this little girl....

Snow is fabulous with other dogs and cats. She is very good with children and very friendly with people. She is great in a house and has great manners. She is almost housebroken but may need a little work due to all the change in her life.
Snow gets anxious in new settings so her new guardians will have to be aware of that and give her a bit of extra time to settle in. Snow likes to be around people as much as possible (therefore retirees or someone who works from home would be perfect). Snow loves going on walks and is very social in our neighborhood..she would love the Colorado trails. Snow is playful with other dogs but is also very mellow. She is the greatest and most loving lap dog if you let her be. No question, Snow is a love and will bring this to her new home.
Snow does have some allergies that will need to be managed. She was seen by a vet and started a treatment of prednisone to get her allergies under control. She is on the second week of prednisone and will begin tapering off after that. She is also on fish oil supplement once a day and has a medicated shampoo and leave in conditioner. She has started basic sensitive stomach/allergy food called Royal Canine. The medication and supplements have helped tremendously...they're not very expensive and we would hope that this would be part of her care for the remainder of her life.

Snow's bond to her people leads us to believe that she would be happiest in either a dog-loving retiree's home or with a family who enjoys spending lots of time with their furry best friend. She would blossom with the time and attention that this type of family would offer. Snow is also so portable at just 11 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about it under the seat on a plane or riding shotgun in the car... Snow is ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Snow is all over it. Off she'll go in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Snow has an amazing attitude for a dog from a scary shelter... and it was her great temperament that saved this sweet pup's life.

Snow is a non-shedding girl whose breed mix is considered one of the best for those who suffer from allergies Snow will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her beautiful and cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free.

Snow will join Farfel's Rescue in mid-December. If interested in this sweet and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at and submit to or fax to 303-443-7730.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snow-ADOPTION PENDING, a Boulder Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
