Chase's Story...
FOR ADOPTION: CHASE is a large 2 year old Sharpei mix (possibly with some lab and something "Bully").
This big goof is a typical teenager. He is fun, active, and very social. He has a huge appetite, has a bit of an independent streak, and can get into mischief if left unattended.
Chase is fantastic with other dogs and he is very playful and submissive. He is gentle with children, although he does sometimes forget his size and knock small people or dogs over. He is however, not so great with cats and will be looking for a home free of small critters.
Our ideal owner for Chase will have an active lifestyle, the ability to spend the majority of their time with him, previous large breed dog ownership, training experience, and access to other dogs for him to play with.
If this big handsome boy sounds like the perfect match for you apply today at www.nwas.ca for a chance to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chase, a Smithers Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
