Sissy's Story...
**Sissy is not currently with the Riley County Humane Society, she is a courtesy post for her owners. If you are interested in Sissy please contact dog-coordinators@rchsks.org**

Sissy is a well balanced "easy keeper". She is 6 years old and medium sized, at around 50 lbs. Sissy is a boxer mix. She does well with new people, including kids and gets along well with other dogs. She would prefer a home without cats in it. She has nice leash manners and does well in the car. She is crate and potty trained. Sissy is looking for a new home through no fault of her own and would very much love to join your family for the holidays!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Manhattan Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
