Ronnie's Story...
Ronnie is a super sweet big orange tabby boy--14 lbs. He has a heart of gold and is a real companion kitty--he will be where ever you are. He was abandoned by his previous owners--literally dumped over a fence and on top of that he's blind. But that doesn't stop him from finding his way around the house, to his food and litter box without a problem. The vet thinks he's 6-8 years old and he has had blood tests that show he's in excellent health. He has been neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, micro chipped and had his teeth cleaned. He's in tip-top shape and just needs a warm-hearted caring home with people who will love him despite his being blind. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ronnie, a Salem Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
