Here's what the humans have to say about me:
December special-all adult cats just $10
They tell me that it's okay to be happy, again.
And... I guess they're right. It's just that I used to be happy and bad things happened and I ended up here. So... maybe I'm a little afraid to be happy, again?
They're trying to help me learn how to do it, though. They pet me and I like that. They play laser dot with me and I like that, too. They brush me and I like that.
The thing is though, as soon as I start to feel good with the petting or the playing or the brushing, I have to pull away. I have to stop and hide. Because being happy kind of scares me.
I know it sounds weird. I can't help it. As soon as my heart starts to feel light and love, I have to pull away. Happiness shouldn't be hard, but once you've lost everything and your life gets turned upside down, happiness can be a little scary, I guess.
But I'm working on it. And they said that I can have the time I need, too. To heal and stuff. That's nice.
So, maybe if you know of someone who would like a very nice, friendly and playful declawed cat who is still learning how to be happy again, can you please send them my way? Tell them to ask for Wednesday - that's me.
And thank you! I think that it would be a lot easier to be happy if I had someone to love me.
Wednesday has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV which is all included in the $65 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $5.
