If I'm not the cutest pup you've ever seen I don't know who is. My name is Cookie and I love to play. I am about 11 months old and weigh around 40 pounds. My favorite game is playing tug. My foster mom says I'm very smart and I've been told I have great drive. I have mastered the 'sit' command and am working on the 'lay down' command. I am also in a training program at K9 University to learn other puppy basics. The training program is transferable and goes with me to my new adopter. How cool is that? I walk well on leash and ride well in the car. I sleep quietly through the night with no problems...actually I'm a pro at this crate business. I am even housebroken. I've been exposed to cats and am a little overly friendly for most cats taste. If they want to play with me, that would make me happy! Would you love to have someone to run and play with and love you unconditionally? If so, then I'm your girl. Please come meet me. You can find out more about me by emailing

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the "Adopt" page of our website,

About Habitat 4 Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

The mission of H4P is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a volunteer-staffed facility and foster program. We are currently raising funds for a building and in the interim are a foster based group.

Beyond just sheltering animals, we are proactive in other areas that will help keep animals out of municipal shelters. Paws Pantry animal-food bank collects and distributes dog and cat food to those in need. H4P hosts microchip clinics so that animals will have a permanent ID and can be reunited with their owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Nearly every weekend our pets that are ready for adoption are featured at locations such as Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus and other locations. We can also arrange visits throughout the week. Check out the Events page of our website for a current schedule of events:

Our Adoption Process...

Dogs are $200
Puppies under 1 year are $250
Cats and kittens are $120

All animals have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, had a heart-worm test, a Feline Leukemia test and a fecal check and are dewormed, microchipped and current on heart-worm and flea preventative medications at the time of adoption.

Adopters must be 21 and have a valid Texas driver’s license or a state-issued ID that matches the home address. If new to the area, a utility bill in the name of adopter will suffice. Renters must present proof of pet deposit or landlord approval to have a pet.

We require that you visit with a pet and adoption counselor. We prefer that all family members be present when the pet is introduced to its potential new family. Current pets are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the meeting too.

If a good match is found, adopters complete an application. Same day adoptions may be done; however, Habitat 4 Paws reserves the right to request a home visit prior to adoption. We do not hold pets nor do we adopt on a first-come/first-serve basis.
