My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is your name? Wallace aka Wally the Walrus
How old are you? My foster mom says around 4, but the shelter said six, I say does age really matter, just look at me.
How much do you weigh? 86lbs of pure love
What do you look like? I look like a hippopotamus. At least that's what my foster family says. I'm a big boy, although I don't stand very tall.
What do you like to eat? Cheese please! My appetite took a little while to come back so I'm still discovering my likes and dislikes. But my foster mom feeds me Tender&True ABF natural dog food with Canidae wet food and I gobble that right up.
What kind of personality do you have? My foster mom says I have the best personality, she's says I'm just a big love bug. She says I listen very well and my personality is blossoming more and more each day. I guess I can be goofy to when my foster family comes home, I sorta bounce around the house in excitement, sometimes I run into to walls cause I'm so happy and not paying attention. My foster mom says she might need to get me a hard hat.
Describe your perfect day: Being with my foster family, I live here with my foster parents and two foster brothers. There's also a kitty cat and two other dogs just like me, but we haven't met yet, my foster mom says I have to wait til after my surgery. I'm not sure what that means but she said I get to go in the car, and I like taking care rides, so it must be good, right?
What is your favorite toy? ALL OF THEM, until they sqeak at me, I'm not sure why they do that so I start to whimper and get a little timid to approach them again. My foster parents think it's silly
Do you know any tricks? I'm learning paw, that's as far as we've gotten. Right now I'm just working on having the best manners possible
What scares you? I'm not sure, so far I'm pretty confident, I don't bark or react to much of anything
Have you been around children? Do you like them? Are you kidding, do I like children??? I LOVE kids there the best. I haven't been around little kids, my youngest foster brother is 10 and I love watching him build Legos.
Do you like cats? I'm not sure, I live with one but I haven't seen her yet. I've heard her and didn't react so I'm thinking I might.
How do you feel about other dogs? I love being around other dogs, I haven't been formally introduced to the other fur babies here but I see them all the time.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? On the couch next to my foster family's side
How is your health? My health is great! I recently started eating the bones that have been given to me and my foster dad said it would clean my teeth and boy did it!!! My teeth are all shiny white now. I guess I had some plaque build up and he said I needing to work on my oral hygiene
Who do you live with your foster home and who is your closest companion? I live with my foster mom and dad, my two foster brothers and my foster sister on the weekend. There's also two other dogs and a cat, but I have yet to be able to play with them. My foster mom says I need to wait until after my surgery...she keeps talking about this surgery and says it with a big smile on her face so I'm guessing I'll be happy too when the day comes
Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I hang out in my kennel, it's a pretty big space right and my mom says soon I'm going to downsize. I do still cry a little bit, when I have to go in there, but it's just because I want to be by my family every minute I can
Where do you sleep? In my kennel
Do you like walking on a leash? Um, I'm not sure. The first time I went for a walk I just kinda stood there, but my foster dad said we going to start practicing this week
Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? Well I do have a bit of a foot fetish...I love licking feet, I can't help myself.
Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside) Yup I sure am, my family is really good about taking me out on a schedule. I have had a couple accidents, but I couldn't hold it anymore, and my foster dad was busy making his morning coffee
Do you like water? Yes, I love drinking water
What do you love about your foster family? Everything, I especially love when the scratch behind my ears and my belly.
What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue?
I don't really know much about my life before NBBR, but I must have had a family because my foster mom's says I'm really well behaved. But I try not to focus on what my life use to be like and focus on my future and finding my forever family.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can visit our website at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and fill out an adoption application (from your home computer). Please allow at least 24 to 48 hours for a reply.

Wallace's adoption fee is $200.
