Joey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Joey's Story...
Joey is a handsome young guy looking for a fun loving home. He is a 1.5-2yr old neutered male Pit and possibly Boxer mix who is 50 pounds and still filling out.

He gets along very well with the three other dogs in his fosters home and loves kids. Joey will play fetch all day long if you are willing! He returns the ball each time and will let you put your hand in his mouth to grasp the ball for another toss. Joey just loves to run.

He knows sit, shake (right paw), other (left foot), down, drop (toy in mouth) and come. Joey loves to give kisses and takes treats gently. He LOVES puppies and other dogs and is very gentle playing with them.

He is very energetic and rides well in a car. Joey thinks he is a lap dog and his tail wagging could clear off a coffee table. He responds to a "no" or "off" command for correction.

Joey does not love being in a crate and knows how to escape out of them. He does not bark much, just goes with the flow. Joey loves chasing squirrels and announcing visitors when they ring the doorbell.

Adoption fee $250, apply to adopt at causeforcanines.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Columbus Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
