Reggie's Story...
If you're looking for the perfect dog, look no further, Reggie is it! Reggie is a super sweet 4 year old pit bull mix who loves snuggling, playing, and pleasing his humans.

This boy is super smart and learns quickly. A simple " uh-oh" lets him know he needs to stop and he listens every time. He is housebroken and knows sit, down, shake, kennel, and we are working on more. Reggie walks beautifully on a leash and loves going for walks.

His favorite pass-times are fetch, tug of war, and chewing on bones. When it's not playtime, he is content to lay beside you or at your feet to snuggle and nap. He is the perfect mix of high-energy play and snuggly couch potato.

Reggie does great with cats (he ignores them and walks away) and loves kids; although he might be best suited for older children as he may knock a little one down when excited. Reggie loves other dogs but can be a bit much for some as he really wants to play. We are working on his doggy manners but he would be happiest if his future doggie siblings could handle his rambunctious play style.

Adoption Fee $250, apply to adopt at causeforcanines.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reggie, a Columbus Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
