My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PRINCE is a 2 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 77 pounds. Prince is a happy dog who likes to be with you and get petted. He has a wicked LabLean which he practices when he comes over to get attention. When you start scratching his butt he turns almost into himself so you can reach just the right spot. He likes to retrieve and playing with toys. Prince would like a house with a family will give him love, attention and training, another dog would be a plus. He needs a home with a fence as he wandered off several times from his old owners. Good with other dogs has been out with other LR pups at the kennel with no problems. No cat history. Knows sit, come and sometimes down. Pulls on lead when walking better with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained probably house trained, as he waits to go outside to go. Will have a training addendum. This dog is from a rural area and has not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. Prince is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Prince is so regal! This boy is so well behaved and sweet! He was on his best behavior at the AALD and met all the very nice people and played a bit of fetch. He loves tennis balls! He can't figure out why no one wanted to take him home with them, but he's ready to charm you! He sleeps through the night and is such a nice boy. His ears are soft like velvet, and he gives great kisses.

Update: Prince is settled in nicely to his foster home and is so sweet! He seems to have a bit of a prey drive, so no cats or small dogs for this kid. His name fits as he is very regal. He just melts when you start to pet him, and traveled in the car beautifully. He also knows his commands! Such a sweet boy.
