DAKOTA's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

DAKOTA's Story...
Some of you may recognize this handsome boy from a few years back.DAKOTA was saved from an owner that was going to SHOOT him as a puppy as he had an injured leg - yes you read that right he was going to be SHOT DEAD. Luckily for DAKOTA he had a guardian angel who contacted me and we got him from that despicable man and to the vets to get his leg fixed and then he chilled out at the rescue until his forever family found him.

Unfortunately two-years from being adopted, his family can no longer keep him due to changing circumstances. So in the next week or so DAKOTA is coming back to the rescue, which is always very hard on dogs, especially GSDs who bond so closely with their families.

DAKOTA is currently in PA, but will most likely be coming back to the rescue this weekend or very soon afterwards. He is fully vetted has just had the SNAP 4DX test and is negative for HW and all the tick diseases. He has been living with 3 small dogs and 4 teenage children.

When he was at the rescue we was hoping he would get adopted to be trained as a therapy/service dog because he has the most mellow, laid back, loving personalities.

Please help find this boy a home so his hurt and not understanding what has happened will not last long as he will be getting showered with lots of love and taken on many adventures to take his mind of all his confusion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAKOTA, a Middletown German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Middletown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Middletown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Middletown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Middletown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Middletown paves the way for another one to be saved.
