My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Harry! A 33lb (needs to gain a few), 9 month old, very loving puppy. We are totally guessing at his breed and he doesn't seem to be growing much either so he will most likely stay this size since he's already 10 months old.

Harry has been in rescue since he was Aug. 9th when we estimated him to be 6 months old. He was from a rural area and was filled with parasites which have now all been treated. He still has a higher white cell count but since it's been higher for the past 4 months and he's been cured of all and shows absolutely no signs of illness, our vet predicts this is just a normal reading for him.

Harry is a VERY loving (loves hugs, loves attention, loves being where you are) boy and also loves other dogs and play time. He would also LOVE to have another dog in the home that he could play with!!

Harry has big, floopy beagle ears with the fluffy hair of a golden. And the hair on his body if very unique. It's longer on the top and shorter on the sides! You can see that in one of the pictures. His eyes are very loving and make you just saw "awww" when he looks at you.

He is 80% potty -trained and I say that because I've caught him peeing in the house (which he stopped immediately when I called his name) but also keep in mind, he is in a foster home with the smells of several different dogs. The dogs always seem to do much better in a "real" home without so many other dogs there! He is crate-trained and is always crated when foster mom isn't home. He goes right in and gets a treat for his compliance :-)

Harry is sooo lovable, did I say that already? He knows how to sit and is learning basic manners (i.e. don't jump on the counter, don't jump into a lap unless invited, etc.) He's a fast learner and a very smart, food-motivated, attention-motivated boy. He is one of those dogs that will lay near you for whatever you are doing. When you are getting ready in the morning, he'll lay at the bathroom door. If you leave the room and close him out of it, he'll lay at the door and wait for you.

Harry is also very friendly to all people!! He loves everybody and crazy enough, he is on his best behavior when he's out in public. I know, complete opposite of a normal puppy! People think he's the best behaved dog ever. They have no idea how he loves to run and play when he's home! LOL

I have nothing bad to say about this amazing boy! Oh, well, maybe, he does like to bark sometimes when he plays! That's about all I can think of! He's a really wonderful puppy!!!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
