Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bruce has been with us since November 20th. He was surrender by the good Samaritan who saved him from certain death in Puerto Rico.
Here is his story: My husband and I found Bruce August 8, 2016 on a construction place while on vacation at Puerto Rico. He and his sister were living with a pack of 20+ dogs. The place is a rock quarry, there were no shadow, barely water, all the dogs were sick and fighting for food. The day we got him the temperature was 108 degrees so you can imagine. Bruce sister died a few minutes after we arrived, we try to give her fluids, but she was gone within 5 minutes. We basically had to pick who to save...Bruce was the tiniest and only young pup in the pack...he was also the one following us around all the time, so my husband decided he was the one.
We rushed Bruce to a local vet. The initial report was not a surprise, Bruce was dehydrate, anemic, with ticks, losing hair and full of infectious parasites.
Fast forward to today...he is being fostered with children and other dogs. He has had all of his shots, has been neutered and is house trained. He was given a wisdom DNA test and he is a mix of Schnauzer, chihuahua and miniature poodle. He is about 6 months old and would like his own family for Christmas!
