My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benjamin Junior
Born ~September, 2016, 4-Month-Old Male, Patched Tabby Maine Coon Mix

We called him Splotch Nose at first. (for obvious reasons). Then he became Junior because he was so little. He had been just a little guy all alone in the shelter on the Needs Rescue List. He had sniffles and was droopy. As he grew quickly into a healthy, beautiful boy we gave him the more adult name of Benjamin, aka Benjamin Junior, aka B.J.

It was easy to help him. All he needed was some antibiotics and a lot of love. We had to keep him separate from other kittens until his cold was gone. He was lonely but gave so much love to us. And he ate and ate growing big and beautiful so quickly. He was almost incredulous that he got to have so much fun when we let him out to race about with other kittens. You could see it in his body language. “This is so much fun. I can’t believe it? Can I really do this? Zoom. !!!!!!!!!!!!”

This boy is as good-hearted as he is beautiful.

A “Patched Tabby” is a kitty who has tabby stripes or spots generally on his back and head and tail with white elsewhere. His fur is super soft. He is a surprising pleasure to touch. He is going to be a gorgeous big boy. I included a couple baby pictures at the end of his photo’s.

B.J.would love to live with another playful kitten. He does not want to be an only cat. I don’t know how he would be with dogs. I expect he would be fine with gentle, middle aged children.

Some family will be so lucky to have his companionship.

B.J. eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or toharrietjane@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
