Cooper's Story...
Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Cooper.

Cooper is a handsome 60 lb chocolate lab with stylish white socks that get him unending compliments. He’s about 1 year old and a very curious boy that absolutely loves going on walks but needs a little leash training. Cooper has a strong sniffer and, like Tucan Sam, follows his nose. This leggy boy is agile and would make a great running partner for someone active. When inside the house he is calm and loves finding the perfect napping spot close to you. He is a big fan of back scratches and will be your silent shadow everywhere you go. Cooper is great with both dogs and cats.

Cooper is neutered, crate-trained and house-trained. He is working on the basic commands but can’t wait to show his love to his forever family. Cooper is unaware of his size and prefers to be around children older than 5. Up to date on all vaccines, micro chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
