Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DAISY was abandoned at the pound when her family started to prepare for a human baby. Daisy had lived with the same family for all of her 6 years! She was confused about all of the changes to her house, and is even more confused living in a cage. UPDATE: Daisy has become more relaxed in the shelter...you will not be able to walk by her cage without her reaching out & talking to you... she now comes to the front of the cage, seeking attention. Loves to be pet & will push against your hand for more! Come visit this 6 year old beauty today!
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.
Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
You may email us at wacvolunteers@gmail.com with any questions.
