My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This Caribbean boy is a textbook representative of dogs’ dogs; he is sure to turn any boring old sniff-along dog park into an island adventure all his own!

Known as the coconut retrieving stray, Sampson was rescued from vagabondage on the Island of Dominica. This boy ended up at FFL because a caring Houstonian who saw his warm nature through those big brown eyes, and could not bear to see him being teased by the local children any longer. Sampson may have a brooding, reserved demeanor when you first meet him, but when you break through his cautious exterior you will find your next friend for life! Dogs on the other hand, he welcomes with open paws. He is the ideal dog play partner, so much so, that if he meets a stranger who has another dog, he opens up to them immediately! A friend of a dog, is a friend of his.

When you break through that exterior, Sampson will want to share all his favorite activities with you!
* Playing with toys, although he often tosses them in the air for himself!
* Snuggling on the couch while watching some Netflix
* Showing you that one special place he LOVES to be scratched on the side of his neck
* Exploring the neighborhood with you by his side, looking for rogue coconuts.
* He is also housetrained and working on crate training
* He knows some basic commands like “sit” “look” and “touch” and “bang” When you say bang and point, he plays dead!
