Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiny is my name, and being a Chihuahua is my fame. As you can see, I have great black and white markings…sort of a Looney Tunes “Pepé Le Pew” resemblance. That is why my foster parents lovingly call me “Pepé”. I weigh in at a sturdy 9.2 pounds and 10” to the shoulder, with a curly tail, that flattens out and curls around me like a sleeping fox when I am zonked out from patrolling my foster family’s fenced yard, playing with my toys or going for a walk on leash to meet other dogs, whom I love. Since coming in to New Hope, I have been neutered, microchipped, and have had all my inoculations updated.
I am 8 years old, and am quickly learning commands such as sit, down and that it is okay if others come near my food dish. My foster mom says I am very bright but you need to have just the right treat, such as cheese to maintain my attention. I am hoping for the perfect home, and that would need to be one with adults only or adults and older teens, young children would not be the right match for me. As we Chihuahuas, are a breed that often comes across as “too big for our britches”, a gentle, experienced owner would be ideal. I am not a good match for a first time dog owner, but I am the perfect match for those who enjoy cuddling and undivided “puppy” love, that only a Chihuahua can offer.
