My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier mix
Age: 1 yr.
Weight: 12 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: no
Energy level: high!
Good with men/strangers: shy with strangers
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: none.

Additional info: We took Lucas in with his brother, Lance. His owner abandoned him because there were too many dogs in the home. He may have been part of a hoarding situation. In any event he was severely neglected, undersocialized and malnourished.

But that was then and this is now. He has blossomed into an outgoing, curious, silly, smart little guy with a big personality. He loves toys. He'll pull every toy out of his box and make a nest with them or he'll find toys along his walk and proudly carry them around with him. Speaking of walks, he had never walked on a leash before but now he just loves to go on long walks and he is great on the leash.

He gets along wonderfully on play dates with neighborhood dogs and he loves to wrestle with his brother. He can still be a little shy with strangers but he is light years away from when he came to us. He is affectionate, a great snuggler and kisser, smart and an all around wonderful companion. We wish all of our dogs were such runaway success stories as Lucas. He does not need to be adopted with his brother. We think they'd both be perfectly comfortable going to separate homes.
