My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ivan is a 5 year old male mix who weighs around 70 pounds. When Ivan was found as a stray, his fur was so matted he had to be shaved. He loves to wear his snazzy winter coat to keep him warm until his fur grows back! Ivan is good with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Ivan loves long walks but needs some training in how to walk
on a leash. He is a strong boy who pulls hard, especially if he sees a rabbit! Ivan loves to play fetch. He is housetrained and will ask to go outside when he needs to.

We recently had a large group of people over to our house, both adults and young children, and Ivan did great! He was excited to see everyone and calmed down right away, happily moving from person to person to get loved on! Ivan sleeps soundly through the night, either on your bed or on his bed in the same room.

Ivan is working through some separation anxiety so he will need to go to a home where he has people with him most of the time so he doesn't have to be alone. Crating Ivan is not an option because he tries to break out of it. Ivan does love going to doggy daycare if you do need to be away. Ivan is also not a huge fan of the
car. He will pace back and forth. We did hear he loves to hang his head out the window but it's been a bit too cold when we've taken him anywhere!
