Ernie's Story...
**PENDING ADOPTION**

**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**

Dear Santa,

My name is Ernie. I have been such a good boy this year. I have no clue how I ended up in a shelter with a boo boo on my booty (the part where the number two comes out, but I am too embarrassed to talk about it). I am good, kind, and cute, and I am even trying really hard to learn potty manners. My foster mama says I am a perfect little puppy and a fast learner. I really want a family for Christmas. I will be waiting impatiently under the tree and maybe snoozing a little while I wait. You may want to bring my humans through the door, though, because Mom says they will get stuck in the chimney.

Thanks Santa. I have faith in you!

Love , Ernie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Pittsburgh Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
