Norah's Story...
Introducing Norah.

Norah was surrendered to Memphis Animal Services(along with 7 other dogs)by her former owner. We aren't sure what caused this person to give up on her, but we are so glad they did. We met Norah on a Sunday afternoon while visiting the shelter looking for puppies to bring into our rescue(because we had a puppy foster available). We didn't Rescue any puppies that day, they were all already safe- but there was definitely a reason we were there that day. That reason was Norah. She stole our hearts and we made room for her. She was pitiful, dirty, completely covered in ticks, had an eye infection and was missing all of her hair above her eye due to untreated Mange. After a trip to the vet, we brought Norah home and began showing her what her life should have been like all along. We have learned in the last few weeks that Norah loves toys, she will take every single toy out of the toy box and leave them throughout the living room because she is so proud of finally having her own stuff. We have learned that's she loves to wear sweaters and hates the vaccum cleaner. But most importantly we have learned that she is an amazing, gentle girl who deserves the best family in the world. She is friendly, but not over bearing, she is calm but still has silly and endearing puppy ways about her. Norah is house trained, crate trained, dog friendly, and happily sleeps through the night at the foot of the bed(she will even let you sleep in). Norah is about 35 lbs. We aren't sure what Nora's breeds are- Golden/ Sheltie is our best guess but it could be any combination of golden, sheltie, aussie, collie, or shepherd. Whatever she is, she's beautiful. Norah's adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, annual vaccines, heartworm testing(negative), deworming, monthly preventions and all other medical care she has received to get her in tip top shape.
