A077163 Scarlett's Story...
Duplicate Listing - SCARLETT (A077163) - 2 year old female red merle Australian Cattle Dog is currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter and has been attending adoption events with Heart of America Humane Society at Olathe Petsmart at 119th and Blackbob. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when you can meet her at (816) 969-1640 and they are located at 1991 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Scarlett weighs around 45 pounds. She knows sit, down and wait. She is very smart and treat motivated so she should be easy to teach more commands. She loves other dogs and does enjoy playing with toys. Scarlett is very energetic so she would do best in a home where she can be a running partner, teach her to play fetch or have frequent outings at the dog park. She loves to lean on you and loves getting attention from people. Due to her high energy and jumping, Scarlett would probably do best in a home without small children. She does need some leash training and will do better once she has some of her energy worn out of her. She may be housetrained as she has not had any accidents at the adoption events. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when and where you can meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A077163 Scarlett, a Overland Park Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
