Facts about Mongoose

  • Breed: Shar Pei/Chow Chow Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Mongoose will make an excellent family dog. She is well-behaved, housetrained, and quiet. She has good house manners and walks well on leash. She also rides well in the car. Someone has definitely spent some time training her, so your work is basically done- that can be the nice part about adopting a middle-aged dog. We think she may be around 5-6 yrs. old and she weighs about 60 lbs. won't you consider adding her as your next family member? She's a nice all-around dog to have around the house. PLEASE NOTE: Mongoose is located in a foster home in Vermont. If interested, please fill out an application at our site @ www.PeisandStrays.com and click on "Adoption Application". Mongoose is spayed, current on basic vaccines, housetrained, and microchipped.

About Peis & Strays - ME

About Our Rescue Group...

Peis and Strays is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established by a small group of individuals in the New England area with the intent of helping Chinese Shar Pei find loving homes.

Peis and Strays relies on donations, fund-raising activities and adoption fees for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. All donations directly benefit the dogs in our adoption program. We are a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are always in need of donations and committed volunteers like ourselves. For more information about us, please email us at: info@peisandstrays.com

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter in any specific location, all of our dogs are cared for by foster families in their homes, across New England. Since the dogs are all cared for by private foster families, we ask that the adopter fill out an application before they meet a dog, to show that they are truly interested in adopting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an application (http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptions.php), a home visit and the vet reference. Further information about our adoption policies are located at: http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptinfo.php.
