Hello, my name is Portabella, and I was surrendered to Ruff Start Rescue because I was not a fan of the young children in the home, they are a little too busy for my tastes.
I think I would do better in a quiet home, maybe with a senior since that is where I am in my own life.
I am very food motivated, enjoying snacks and chewies, but I am protective of them and need my space to enjoy them.
I am living with other dogs mostly all in my age group and doing well.
According to my previous owners, I have a history of seizures, but it hasn't happened for several years.
I am crate trained, good car rider, and enjoy going for walks.
When it gets cold out, my feet are sensitive and can only be out for short periods of time.
I would like to find my forever home, where I can retire on the couch, look out the window, enjoy some snacks, go for a little walk and be your faithful and loving companion.
Would you like to meet me?
