My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

January 2017: These adorable little darlings are local surrenders. We were asked to assist in re-homing them as their family's living situation changed leaving them unable to keep them. Mia and Cruz are in foster care with us now and doing well but we feel that it will be in their best interests to separate them, as they do a lot of guarding when they are together. Each is move lovey and amenable to correction when alone.

Mia is a 5 lb. Chihuahua. Mia is more reserved and defensive over her body space and protective over her human. It will take her some time to adjust to her new life. She will need patience and training to feel safe and loved. Mia is house-trained and crate-trained.

Up until they came to us they had limited exposure to other dogs and no exposure to cats but in just a few days in foster they have been integrated with a few other small dogs and some cats and it's going pretty well. We would not place them with young children because of their nervous and protective behavior.

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
