Apollo's Story...
Meet Apollo! Apollo and his siblings came to us very young (born 8/14/16). Their mama was a feral farm cat. They arrived with some fear of humans, but over the last couple of months, all 3 have learned that they now have nothing to fear. Apollo is a bit shy and is ok with being held and petted. He is an adorable little guy who likes to run around and play with his foster siblings and curl up on the cat tree when he is tired out. Apollo will need a patient adopter who is willing to give him the time he needs to adjust. He is a social kitten with his feline family and would not do well as an only pet. Apollo has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/Feluk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet him in his foster home. Apollo's adoption fee is $100. (C&AL)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
