Hello! My name is Maize (pronounced mace), and I am a magnificent, beautiful 9-10 month old terrier mix weighing in at 35lbs! I am a fun, active girl with a big ol' puppy heart. Whether it’s running around in the yard playing fetch or playing some tug with some of my favorite toys, I love to not only be entertained but also put on a hilarious show for you as well! At the end of our play session or nice, long walk, I just love to curl up on the couch with you as we watch some of my favorite movies (The Great Gatsby, anyone?).  My previous owners kept me tied to a chain my whole life and used me as a breeder, but thankfully, I got mange and their treatment didn't make me better, so they surrendered me to a neighbor I can be a little shy when meeting new human friends along the streets, but I'm working on that and I really enjoy playing with my puppy pals. Are you ready to adopt me and see This Side of Paradise?! Then, email your phone  n umber  to rockcityrescue@gmail.com  and we can meet. I come to you vaccinated, spayed, and housetrained.

About Rock City Rescue-AR chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

We are committed to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats who have been abandoned or lost. We pull dogs from high kill shelters to help them be united with loving forever home, as well as, help rehome animals found as strays and help families rehome their own pets they can no longer care for

Our Adoption Process...

All animals 3 months or older must be sterilized prior to adoption. There is an adoption contract that is signed once an adopter had been approved for an adoption. There is no fee to apply for a dog, but adoption fees vary from dog to dog.

Currently, this rescue is run by one person and a lot of foster homes. We have full-time jobs like everyone else, so please be patient with us while we return your calls and emails. 99% of the time, we return emails within 48-72 hours.
