A.. Penny's Story...
Hi, I’m Penny! I was found in a back yard with my brother, Sheldon, when I was about 3 months old and I have been living inside ever since. I love to play with the other kitties in my house, and I chase the bigger cats to get them to play with me. I am full of energy, but I also like to curl up in someone’s lap to be pet or take a nap. I really like my scratching post too. I'm looking for a loving family and home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A.. Penny, a Charlotte Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
