Facts about Dot

  • Species: Ferret
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Unknown
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Dot. You can request an application by emailing littlelivesrescue@yahoo.com. Dot is a female ferret born in May 2013. She is spayed, descented, and is up to date on rabies vaccinations. Dot has struggled with a nipping issue. We believe she nips or bites when she is ready to go back in her cage, so we are working on bell training her. She has not been held by children very much and we prefer to go to a home without children below teenage age. She will require a loving and understanding owner. Experience with ferrets is preferred. Dot is an indoor animal that requires space and requires supervised play time outside of her cage. We recommend a double critter nation with plenty of toys, tunnels, and hammocks. Please be aware that we are not a "first come, first served" rescue. We will choose the best fitting home for Dot. We will provide proof of rabies vaccinations, proof of veterinarian examination, any/all other vet records under our care, and an information/care guide. Her adoption fee is $150.

Ferret Information: Average Lifespan: 9 years. Grooming: 1 bath monthly, nail trimming when necessary. Activity Time: Ferrets sleep several hours throughout the day, but the hours they are awake, they are very energetic and curious.

About Little Lives Matter Small Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Little Lives Matter Small Animal Rescue is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization located in Tri-Cities, Washington. Our primary focus is on small animals such as rodents, reptiles, birds, etc.

We want to help our community as much as we can by rescuing small animals, reducing overpopulation, and educating the community on small animal care.

CONTACT US: If you are interested in adopting, surrendering, or fostering please email littlelivesrescue@yahoo.com. If you just adopted or purchased a small animal from another facility and you would like a care guide, please email us and specify what animal type you would like a care guide for.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We attend PetSmart adoption events at the PetSmart on Canal in Kennewick, Washington. We do not do on-site adoptions, but this is an opportunity to see our adoptable pets in order for you to decide if you would like to apply.

Our Adoption Process...

1. Request an adoption application by emailing littlelivesrescue@yahoo.com (multiple page form requiring references, including a vet reference).
2. Home check. We are not a "first-come, first-served" rescue. We choose the best fitting home for that particular animal.
3. If the animal can safely be spayed/neutered, that will be done prior to adoption. Many small animals cannot be safely altered.
4. A signed adoption contract and adoption fee will be required at the time of adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on animal type.
5. A care guide, supply list, and veterinary contact information will be provided to the adopter at or before the time of adoption.
